Live Before You Die: A Powerful Message A Day Before Her Death

Last Updated on

“That’s the thing about life; It is fragile, precious and unpredictable and each day is a gift, not a given right” – Holly Butcher.

During the final moments of her life, Holly Butcher penned down a heart-wrenching message on social media about life itself. She died a day later. Her perspective on life just might be exactly what we need right now to fill the void and contemplate whether we are worrying about trivial or important things—is it worth it?

Her words are heartfelt, coming from the gut-wrenching depths of the brutal reality of death we all eventually have to face. Holly Butcher was from Grafton in NSW, Australia and was suffering from Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. She recently succumbed to her battle at the age of 26.

In her letter, she stated how she did not want to go but, but that death is something beyond our control. Her letter is a celebration of the most valuable aspects of our life and she urges readers to value and cherish the things that matter the most. She reminds readers to keep trivial stresses that take away so much of our life energy and happiness at bay.

Read Holly’s letter below and celebrate life for what it is. After all, even this flawed life is made up of sweet perfections.

This is 26-year-young Holly Butcher who posted her final message on Facebook a day before her death.
