When you look around you, you’re most likely to see kids of all ages glued to their smartphone or tablet. They play games with imaginary characters like a sailor who keeps hitting bricks with his hand or, a bird that hurls stones from a catapult. The colors, sounds, and graphics are too engrossing for these kids who soon become addicted to such games.
These kids are living in a lost childhood, bereft of the joy of playing tag or running barefoot in the grass. They don’t grow up among and learn from Mother Nature. And when they grow older, they realize that it’s too late.
Meet Niki Boon. A mother of four living in the rural parts of New Zealand. She’s giving her children a real childhood, one that they will never forget. And while they’re growing up, she’s capturing some beautiful memories and sharing them online.
