13 Smiling Preemie Babies Who Are Happy To Be Alive!

Premature infants, known as Preemies, come into the world earlier than full-term babies. Prematurity occurs when a pregnancy lasts less than 37 weeks; full-term infants are born 37 to 42 weeks after the mother’s Last Menstrual Period (LMP).

Most think premature babies are born weak and frail. Yes, they are born earlier with more odds against them. And without the protection form their mother’s womb, they face the world unprepared.

However, in reality, they are fighters. They claw on to life itself and try their hardest to make it through.

Although survival can be an uphill battle, the end result can be seen with their smiling face. There is nothing sweeter and more innocent than a baby’s smile. But when a preemie smiles, somehow it seems even sweeter—a preemie smile shows that everything is going to be ok.
